About the Company: Our client is a cutting-edge Swiss technology company at the forefront of developing Artificial Intelligence-based Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems. Operating in the global electronics manufacturing market (EMS/OEM), the company provides solutions for critical sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, and Medical devices. Its mission is to redefine quality control standards by integrating patented 3D optical heads and proprietary neural networks, delivering unprecedented accuracy in defect detection on printed circuit boards (PCBs). For this company our Recruitment Engineers are looking for an AI Engineer. 

The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging computer vision problems in an industrial environment, driving the development of innovative solutions for automated optical inspection and advanced image analysis, while also providing technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the team.

Must have:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another relevant scientific discipline
• Professional experience in computer vision and/or applied AI, ideally within an industrial or product-development setting
• Expert-level programming skills in Python
• Extensive, proven experience in Computer Vision and Image Processing, particularly using OpenCV
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning applied to computer vision and image analysis, including designing and training models for real-world applications
• Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch, including model optimization and deployment.
• Deep, practical understanding of common computer vision tasks, such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, feature extraction, and anomaly detection, and the ability to choose and adapt the right approach for a given problem
• Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably with Java or a similar language
• Proven ability to autonomously design and implement reliable software components and integrate computer vision algorithms into production systems
• Extensive experience working with real-world image datasets, including data preparation, augmentation and labeling.

Nice to have:

• Experience with 3D computer vision, 3D reconstruction, depth processing, or 3D modeling is a plus
• Knowledge of C++ is a plus

Location: Mendrisio (Switzerland). On-site work mode.

Compensation: 72.000 CHF
